Vinegar does not melt ice the fastest because vinegar is largely composed of acetic acid and mostly water. The rate of melting depends on the thermal conductivity of the substance in contact with the ice cube. The higher the thermal conductivity, the quicker heat is transferred from the ice cube to the substance. Salt water has a high thermal conductivity so it would melt ice the fastest
