When Ba²⁺ and PO₄³⁻ reacts Barium phosphate is formed. the correct formula for Barium Phosphate is Ba₃ (PO₄) ₂

Ba²⁺ and PO₄³⁻ are charged so they are ions, Ba²⁺ is a cation because it is positively charged and PO₄³⁻ is an anion because it is negatively charged, when they reacts negative and positive charge attracts each other and a neutral salt is formed which is barium phosphate (Ba₃ (PO₄) ₂).
