During a physical change, the atoms and molecules separate, but remain the same type of atom or molecule. During a chemical change, the atoms and molecules still might separate, but they become different atoms/molecules.

    Explanation:

Physical change - Change in visible properties (color, etc.)

Chemical change - Change in the type of atoms/molecules (burning, etc.)
