Why does pumping more air into a basketball increase the pressure inside the ball?

    The pressure inside the ball is relative to the air particles frequency hitting the inside of the ball, per unit of area. when there are more particles (more air inside), they hit the sides of their container more frequently, thus increasing the pressure exerted on the ball/pressure inside the ball.
