    There are two diagonals.

    Law of cosines:

    a^2 = b^2 + c^2 - 2bc cos (A)

    One is:

    x^2 = 4^2 + 6^2 - 2 (4) (6) cos (55°) = 46.75

    => x = √46.75 = 6.8 ≈ 7

    Answer: 7

    The other is:

    x^2 = 4^2 + 6^2 - 2 (4) (6) cos (180° - 55°) = 79.53

    => x = √79.53 = 8.9 ≈ 9, which is not among the choices, so the answer is the 7.
