What form of energy transformation occurs when wind spins turbines?

    Wind energy from moving air is turned into mechanical energy, that is, the turning of the turbines. These turbines then produce electrical energy when they turn magnets I solenoids. Thus the energy changes are: wind energy-mechanical energy-electrical energy.
