    0.33L

    Explanation:

    From ideal gas equation,

    PV = nRT

    V = nRT/P

    If RT/P are kept constant, then:

    V1/n1 = V2 / n2

    n1 = 1.5moles

    V1 = 0.25L

    n2 = 1.5 + 0.5 = 2moles

    V2 = ?

    Now, the new volume can be obtain as follows:

    V1/n1 = V2 / n2

    0.25/1.5 = V2/2

    Cross multiply to express in linear form

    1.5 x V2 = 0.25 x 2

    Divide both side by 1.5

    V2 = (0.25 x 2) / 1.5

    V2 = 0.33L

    Therefore, the new volume is 0.33L
