If the concentration of the starting solution is 10 g/L. The dilution factor is determined by:

dilution factor = (volume of aliquot / total volume)

    = (10ml / 100ml)

    = 0.10

The concentration of the resulting solution is:

    0.10 * 10g/L = 1 g/L
