    Again, since the pH scale is logarithmic, in base 10, a whole integer increase in the pH correlates to a solution being 10 times more acidic than the previous integer. For example: A pH of 7 is 10 times more acidic than a pH of 8, and 100 times more acidic than a pH of 9.
