    Net ionic equation is: Mg∧+2 + 2OH∧-1 → Mg (OH) 2 (s)

    Explanation:

    Chemical equation:

    MgBr2 + KOH → Mg (OH) 2 + 2KBr

Balance chemical equation with physical states:

    MgBr2 (aq) + 2KOH (aq) → Mg (OH) 2 (s) + 2KBr (aq)

    Ionic equation:

    Mg∧+2 + 2Br∧-1 + 2K∧+1 + 2OH∧-1 → Mg (OH) 2 (s) + 2K∧+1 + 2Br∧-1

    Net ionic equation:

    Mg∧+2 + 2OH∧-1 → Mg (OH) 2 (s)

2Br∧-1 and 2K∧+1 ions are spectator ions that's way these are not written in net ionic equation.

    Spectator ions:

These are the ions that are present same on both side of chemical reaction and does not effect the equilibrium.
