    a) Mass of gasoline

    Step 1. Convert $CDN to $US

    $US = $30.00 CDN * (0.942$US/$1 CDN) = $28.26 US

    Step 2. Calculate the volume of gasoline

    V = $28.26 US * (1 gal gasoline/$3.82 US) = 7.399 gal

    Step 3. Convert gallons to litres

    V = 7.399 gal * (3.785 L/1 gal) = 28.00 L

    Step 4. Calculate the mass of the gasoline

    b) Distance travelled

    Step 1. Calculate the kilometres
