We are asked for the oxidation number of Cr (OH) 3. it is know that upon reaction, the charges of each ionic element are exchanged and reflected on the subscripts. Hence, the oxidation number of Cr (OH) 3 is zero since Cr is + 3 and that of OH is - 1*3 or - 3 in total.
