23.10 grams of aluminum metal are dissolved in a solution that contains 1.89 mol of hydrochloric acid to yield aluminum chloride (AlCl3) and hydrogen gas according to the following balanced chemical equation. What is the limiting reactant?

2Al (s) + 6HCl (aq) → 2AlCl3 (aq) + 3H2 (g)

    You first of all need to have both quantities of reactants in either grams or moles and then you use stoichiometry to find out the quantities of product and then you determine what the limiting reactant is based on the smaller quantity of product.
