Solid lithium and iodine gas are formed by decomposition of solid lithium iodide. write a balanced chemical equation for this reaction.

    This was already asked and @ andriansp answered it so here it is again:

    "Lithium Iodide is LiO

    Lithium is Li

    Iodine is I

    Lithium will decompose to Li and I2, which means:

    2Li (s) + I2 (g) - - - > 2Lil (s)"
