In this chemical reaction, how many grams of Al2O3 will be produced if 375 grams of Al react completely?

    Answer: 708.3g of Al2O3 will be produced

    Explanation:

    4Al + 3O2 - > 2Al2O3

    MM of Al2O3 = (27x2) + (3x16) = 54 + 48 = 102g/mol

    Mass conc. Of Al2O3 = 2 x 102 = 204g

    MM of Al = 27g/mol

    Mass conc. Of Al = 4 x27 = 108g

    From the equation,

    108g of Al produced 204g of Al2O3.

    Therefore,

    375g of Al will produce Xg of Al2O3 i. e

    Xg of Al2O3 = (204 x 375) / 108 = 708.3g.
