source. However, the top of the bread cooks just as fast as the bottom. How is heat being

added to the bread?

    the convection currents in the oven produced by the heat, cooks both the bottom and the top at the same rate.

    The air is heated by the heat source in the oven. The hot air rises, surrounds the bread, and heats the bread on all sides.
