Daniella and her family live on a very large farm. When Salisha visits the farm they go exploring to collect smooth round pebbles found in the small stream running down the forested hillside. They notice that the water in the small ponds on the flat sandy fields dry up before similar ones on the clayey hillside.

Give ONE reason why the ponds the hillside dry up slower than those on the flat fields.

The flat and sandy fields are fields where there is water, the surface is even more mirrored, less thick they usually have and when faced with an increase in temperature, they evaporate more easily.

Also keep in mind that clay, unlike other soils, transmits much more heat, which is the reason for its drying and rapid evaporation in the case of small bodies of water.

    Explanation:

A factor that greatly influences this phenomenon is the climate, and the temperatures that they usually have in these fields, since the less humidity or partial pressure of water in the atmosphere they have, the faster the water bodies evaporate.
