What chemicals make up the sides or backbone of the dna molecule

    DNA molecule has being observed to look like a twisted ladder. It's backbone is made up of deoxyribose sugar, phosphate group, and one of four nitrogen bases; adenine (A), thymine (T), guanine (G), and cytosine (C).

    A unit of these component is called a nucleotide.
