How many moles of Carbon dioxide are produced when 4.5 mol of Boron carbonate decomposes completely?

    Explanation:

    balanced reaction:

    B2 (CO3) 3 → B2O3 + 3CO2

    ∴ n B2 (CO3) 3 = 4.5 mol

    ⇒ n CO2 = (4.5 mol B2 (CO3) 3) * (3 mol CO2 / mol B2 (CO3) 3)

    ⇒ n CO2 = 13.5 mol
