Determine the specific heat of a certain metal if a 450 gram sample of it loses 34 500 Joules of heat as

its temperature starts at 150 °C and drops to 53 °C.

    Answer: c = 790.4J/kg/°C

    Explanation:

    H = mc ∆t

    34500 = 0.45*c*97

    c = 34500 / (0.45*97)

    = 790.4J/kg/°C
