    This is the electrostatic force of attraction between positively charged ions and delocalised outer electrons. Atoms in a covalent bond are held together by electrostatic forces of attraction between positively charged nuclei and negatively charged shared electrons.

    Yes! Even though it repels some people, I love electrostatic force! Basically, one of the four fundamental forces that is present in the protons repelling and electrons and protons attraction. You've heard of "like forces repel, opposites attract"?
