15.9 mol/kg is the molality for the solution

    Explanation:

36.71% means that 36.71 g of solute are contained in 100g of solution

    36.71 g → mass of solute

100 g → mass of solution (mass of solute + mass of solvent)

    Mass of solvent → 100 g - 36.71 g = 63.29 g

Molality → moles of solute in 1kg of solent

    We convert the mass of solute to mol → 36.71 g. 1mol/36.45 g = 1.007 mol

    We convert the mass of solvent from g to kg → 63.29 g. 1kg/1000g = 0.06329 kg

    1.007 mol / 0.06329 kg → molality → 15.9 m
