K2O is ionic. Potassium (K) is a metal with one valence electron and Oxygen (O) is a nonmetal with two valence electrons. Potassium needs to transfer two electrons to Oxygen to complete it's octet, which is why two potassiums are needed. Tell if i did anything wrong thks
