In order to separate iron filing mixed in sugar and sand, one must use magnet. This exercise aims to explain the electricity and magnetism. In this exercise, the iron fillings will move to the area where the magnet is situated, this is the magnetic field where the area has magnetic forces. These forces, represented in magnetic lines, do not overlap with each other and are stronger when in they are near the north and south poles of the magnet. Opposite poles attract, like poles repel.
