    Parts per million can be calculated by applying formula

    Ppm = (mass of solute/mass of solution) x 1,000,000

    In given condition

    Mass of solute which is NaCl is 284g

    Mass of solution which is water is 100g

    Ppm=284/100x 1,000,000

    =284000ppm
