    The POH of a 2.70 x10^-11 solution of lithium hydroxide (LiOH) is 10.6

    calculation

    POH = - log (OH-)

    write the equation for dissociation of LiOH

    LiOh---> Li^ + (aq) + OH - (aq)

    from the equation above the ratio LiOH: OH is 1:1 therefore the concentration of OH - = 2.70 x10 ^-11

    that is - log (2.70 x10^-11) = 10.6
