    Solubilty of components affect by polarity. Simlar substance dissovle similar subtance. So polar substance dissolve polar substance and nonpolar substance dissolves nonpolar substance. Since water is polar and carbon tetracholride are non polar

    Br2 dissolves in carbon tetracholride because it is non polar

    KF in water because it is polar

    CH2O in water because it is polar

    C6H14 is carbon tetracholride because it is non polar
