A - It remains unchanged over time.

    Explanation:

Durable means that something can exist for a long time without much change.

B and C are wrong. Scientific knowledge must always be examined and checked by other scientists.

D is wrong. If similar investigations yield dissimilar results, the theory must be modified or replaced.

    C

    Explanation:

think about it, durable meaning it has lots of support behind it. and D isn't right because it says dissimilar. A cant be right because something cant be durable if it is unchanged over time. B isn't right because if the data is rarely subjected to examination then the data wouldn't matter and therefore cant be used as it isn't a durable piece of information.
