    The amount of heat absorbed when 1.0 mol of CS₂ is formed = 89.3 kJ. The no. of moles of 5.66 g that formed of CS₂ = mass / molar mass = (5.66 g) / (76.143 g/mol) = 0.0743 mol. The amount of heat in (kJ) absorbed when 5.66g of carbon disulfide is formed = n x The amount of heat absorbed when 1.0 mol of CS₂ is formed = (0.0743 mol) (89.3 kJ/mol) = 6.64 KJ.
