Which statement best describes how electrons fill orbitals in the periodic table

    Orbitals, Electrons are organized in a certain order, which can be found on the periodic table. It goes 2-8-8-18 etc. they always try and get a filled last shell (called the valence shell) and by filled, it means 8. It can never have over 8 in the valence shell or else it becomes an ion.
