    Smooth muscles are the type of muscles that can be found in the organs like the stomach, the small intestine and the large intestine however, smooth muscles cannot be found in the heart. A smooth muscle is also called as the involuntary muscle which means that it cannot be controlled and that it contracts or expands without you telling these muscles to do so. They can also be found on the walls of the other inner organs like the bladder, uterus and blood vessels. These type of muscles has longer or almost permanent contractions compared to that of the skeletal muscles.
