    We can use Charle's law to solve this problem.

    Charle's law says "at a constant pressure, the volume of a fixed amount of gas is directly proportional to its absolute temperature".

    V α T

    Where V is the volume and T is the temperature in Kelvin of the gas.

    We can use this for two situations as,

    V₁/T₁ = V₂/T₂

    V₁ = 2.33 L

    T₁ = (50 + 273) K = 323 K

    V₂ = ?

    T₂ = (500 + 273) K = 773 K

    By applying the formula,

    2.33 L / 323 K = V₂ / 773 K

    V₂ = (2.33 L / 323 K) x 773 K

    V₂ = 5.576 L

    V₂ = 5.58 L

    Hence, the volume of the gas at 500.0 °C will be 5.58 L.

    Assumptions : 1. the pressure of the gas is a constant.

    2. the gas has an ideal gas behavior.
