    When pH is 7, the solution is neutral means neither acidic nor basic.

    So, [h+] > [oh-]; the solution is acidic and [h+] < [oh-] the solution is basic options cancels out.

    If concentration of H + and OH - is checked:

    Step 1 : To find concentration of H + using pH formula

    the formula of pH = - log [H⁺]

    Where,[H+] = concentration of Hydrogen ions.

    Given : pH = 7

    Plugging values of pH in formula

    7 = - log [H⁺]

    To remove log, antilog of 7 is taken

    10⁻⁷ = [H⁺]

    [H⁺] = 1 x 10⁻⁷ M

    Step 2 : Concentration of OH⁻ = >

    The relation between pH and pOH = > pH + pOH = 14

    pOH = 14-pH = 14 - 7 = 7

    pOH = 7

    Relation between pOH and [OH⁻] is = > pOH = - log [OH⁻]

    Plugging value of pOH in formula

    7 = - log [OH⁻]

    [OH⁻] = 10⁻⁷ = 1 x 10⁻⁷ M

    Hence concentration of [OH⁻ ]and [H⁺ ] = 1 x 10⁻⁷ M
