    Osmotic force results in the movement of solvent from a region of high concentration to that of a lower concentration through a semi-permeable membrane.

    For osmotic force two be set up, the two system of solvent must be at different concentration. When the solvents have a uniform concentration, osmotic force ceases.

    Therefore, a system in which no change in concentration occurs is an equilibrium system. Such a system has no osmotic force.
