    Mass of iron block is 2 kg

    Explanation:

    We are given;

    Specific heat of Iron as 450 J/kg/K Change in temperature as 3 K Heat Energy as 2700 Joules

    We are required to determine the mass of iron

    To answer the question, we will consider the formula;

    Heat energy = Mass * specific heat * Change in temperature

    In this case;

    Mass = Heat energy : (specific heat * change in temperature)

    Therefore;

    Mass of Iron block = 2700 Joules : (450 J/kg/K * 3 K)

    = 2 kg

    Therefore, the mass of iron block is 2 kg
