Being a mammal it they "have placenta but lacks the subplacenta."

    Explanation:

The most remarkable or the unique feature of the chimpanzee is length of the umbilical cord. In most of times, after the delivery the placenta is consumed by the mother itself and the research on the placental hormone has not yet been practised. In mammals the whales, elephants, shrews and armadillos have the placenta. Other pets possessing placenta are sheep, cattle, horses etc.
