If the temperatures of separate 35 g samples of gold, mercury, and carbon are to be raised by 10.0°C. How much heat must be applied to each substance?

    The amount of heat applied to each substance is 3.5 g. i did this by calculating 10.0 divided by 35 which gives me the answer 3.5 g.
