How much heat is absorbed by a 26g iron skillet when its temperature rises from 5oC to 25oC?

    The heat capacity for iron is 0.444

    Equation

    H = m * c * deltat

    Givens

    m = 26 grams

    c = 0.444 J / (g oC)

    Δt = 25° - 5° = 20°

    Solution

    H = 26 grams * 0.444 J/g * C° * 20°

    H = 231 = 2.31 * 10^2 technically there should only be 1 sig digit, but I'll give you 3. You can do the rounding.
