    Mass = 1017.6 g

    Explanation:

    Given dа ta:

    Mass of glucose = 950 g

    Mass of oxygen needed = ?

    Solution:

    Chemical equation:

    C₆H₁₂O₆ + 6O₂ → 6CO₂ + 6H₂O

    Number of moles of glucose:

    Number of moles = mass/molar mass

    Number of moles = 950 g / 180 g/mol

    Number of moles = 5.3 mol

    Now we will compare the moles of oxygen and glucose.

    C₆H₁₂O₆ : O₆

    1 : 6

    5.3 : 6*5.3 = 31.8 mol

    Mass of oxygen:

    Mass = number of moles * molar mass

    Mass = 31.8 mol * 32 g/mol

    Mass = 1017.6 g
