The rate of reaction (reaction rate) is the

time it takes for a chemical reaction to

occur. The reaction rate is controlled by

many factors, including the

concentration of the reactants, the

temperature, the surface area, pressure,

and the presence of the catalyst.

Many people are familiar with the rate of

reaction as a result of using sugar to

sweeten either hot or cold tea. Sugar

dissolves faster in a warm liquid than in

a cold liquid - this is an example of how

temperature influences the reaction rate

    Yes it is. Another example is surface area of reactants, powdered iron fillings would react faster in HCl than iron lumps.

    Also your beverage would also dissolve faster in hot water than in cold water, this is also an example of how temperature affects rate of reaction.

    There are other examples that can be stated as well.
