    Gases has some properties which are specific to them, one of these properties is that, gases usually take the shape and the volume of any container in which they are confined. This means that, when a gas is sealed up in a container, the gas will fill up all the space inside the container.

    Thus, gases have no definite shape and no definite volume, they take the shape and the volume of their containers. Also, the forces of attraction between gas molecules are very weak, that is why their particles are far apart.
