Which chemical species can easily form an ionic bond with a cation?

    Anions, or negative ions, bond most easily with cations, or positive ions. Examples of anions are Cl - and F-.

    Chloride, iodide, bromide because they are halogens and thus are highly electronegative and will remove an electron from a highly electropositive atom to form an ionic bond.
