Explain why living organisims contain more hydrogen atoms then any other atoms, yet 65% of typical organisims mass is oxygen

    The reason for this is that Oxygen weights more than hydrogen: a lot more.

    The atomic mass of hydrogen is 1.008 and of oxygen 15.999, so that means than an atom of oxygen weights 16 times as much as a hydrogen atom!

    so even if there were 15 time more hydrogen than oxygen atoms, oxygen would still account for more weight!
