Which of the following factors drives all the weather on Earth, including large-scale storms and local weather systems?

The Coriolis effect curves the motion of wind due to the Earth's rotation.

The Sun heats up the air at different rates, and the atmosphere undergoes changes to equalize temperatures and pressures.

The ocean holds thermal energy more efficiently than land.

The greenhouse effect ensures that some thermal energy will always be trapped near the Earth's surface.

Answer:The Sun heats up the air at different rates, and the atmosphere undergoes changes to equalize temperatures and pressures.

Explanation: The unequal heating of the earths surface is the main driving force of weather. Due to the shape of the earth, place along the equator receives greater amount of sunlight with higher air and ocean temperatures compared to places near the poles where sunlight is spread in a larger area making the air temperature less hotter. Because of the difference in temperature, warm places experiences changes in local weather or even huge storms due to low pressure system conditions. The warmer the ocean water more rate of evaporation and more cloud formations due to humidity.
