What is the pressure in atmospheres if 1360.0g of N2O gas is compressed in a 25.0L cylinder and is stored in an outdoor shed where the temperature can reach 59.0°C in the summer?

    According to this formula:

    PV = nRT

    when V = 25 L and n (mol) = 1360 g / 44 (mass weight of N2O) = 30.9 mol

    R constant = 0.0821 and T in kelvin = 59 + 273 = 332 K

    By substitution in the formula:

    P * 25 = 30 * 0.0821 * 332

    ∴ P = 32.7 atm
