    option D = particle size

    Explanation:

The particles size of sand is greater then the pore size of filter paper and can not passed through the filter paper and easily filter out. While salt present in sea water are easily pass through the pore of filter paper.

The solution of sand and water is suspension.

    Properties of suspension:

The particle size in suspension is greater than 1000 nm.

These particles can seen through naked eye.

    It is heterogeneous.

The particles in suspension can be separated through the filtration.
