Gravity is a force that attracts all objects towards each other. People are attracted towards the Earth and the Earth towards people, the Moon and the Earth are attracted towards each other, and the Sun and the Earth are attracted towards each other. All of these attractions are caused by gravity. Gravitational attraction is greater for more massive objects. Gravity decreases as the distance between the objects increases.
