An empty erlenmeyer flask weighs 241.3 g. when filled with water (d=1.00 g/cm3), the flask and its contents weigh 489.1 g. what is the volume of water in the flask?

    Flask + water = 489.1g mass of water is 489.1 - 241.3 = 247.8g Use the density of water to find the volume: 247.8g / (1cm^3/1.00g) = 247.8cm^3 is the volume of the flask also because that volume of water fills the flask.
