A certain recipe requires 3/2 cups of sugar an makes 2 dozen cookies. (1 dozen = 12). quantity a = the amount of sugar required for the same recipe to make 30 cookies. quanity B = 2 cups

    Ratio: [3/2] cups / 24 cookies

    A) 30 cookies

    30 cookies / x cups = 24 cookies / [3/2 cups] = > x = [3/2] * 30/24 = 1.875 cups of sugar

    B) 2 cups

    x cookies / 2 cups = 24 cookies / [3/2 cups] = > x = 2 * 24 / 1.5 = 32 cookies
