How does sediment form?

Chemical changes cause sediment to cement together.

Molten rock cools below Earth's surface.

Weathering breaks down rock and other material.

Loose material is compacted by pressure.

    Loose material is compacted by pressure: the weight of the objects beginning to settle on top of it grows until it becomes immense that's how icebergs are formed too
